Summer life in Marbella

Summers on the Costa del Sol revolve around the beaches by day, and social venues in the evening. A day may therefore typically involve a morning workout, yoga or walking route, following by a refreshing dip in a pool, before minds turn to the seaside, beach clubs, lagoon lakes or simply days spent on your own sundeck and swimming pool.

For daytime family fun that gradually, languidly flows into a beachside party in the evenings, a new generation of beach clubs is offering a chilled, trendy and very naturally chic environment where DJ grooves, excellent fresh food and lots of seaside atmosphere play a central role. White is a little out here, replaced by natural sand and earth tones.

As the sun begins to set in the west, colouring the sky behind Gibraltar in golden hues, such venues up the pace with more vigorous live DJ music and the evening fun begins. Dining out is one of the pleasures of Marbella, for instance in locations such as Marbella’s old town or The Village at the Puente Romano hotel, but entertainment is also an important part of the mix.

For this there is a growing range of elegant night time venues that blend the concept of restaurant and night club, such as Mosh in Aloha, Nueva Andalucía, and Momento on the Golden Mile, two venues where fine dining gives way to a classic Marbella summer party atmosphere with a soundtrack provided by top international DJs.

From daytime boat trips, beach venues or stylish lagoon clubs to privately hosted parties, evenings in restaurants and exclusive night clubs, today’s summer season in Marbella continues a glamorous tradition that dates back to the glory days of the 1960s, when international celebrities filled legendary spots—just as they will this season.
