There are many reasons why Marbella has, over the past sixty years, become one of the foremost lifestyle destinations in the world. With so much of the focus on Marbella, its equally enticing neighbours are occasionally overlooked. One of the most appealing is Mijas, a large municipal area that straddles much of the coastal and hillside area between Marbella and Fuengirola. In so doing, Mijas Costa occupies some of the prettiest sections of the Costa del Sol shoreline, dotted with inviting coves, sandy beaches and lively villages such as La Cala de Mijas.

No-one enjoys the prospect of enforced confinement and restricted freedom of movement, but if you do have to spend more time at home during this Covid pandemic then the Costa del Sol, and Marbella in particular, is just about the best place to be.
