The Golden Mile is famous as Marbella’s most illustrious address, not just because it is home to many of the most gorgeous properties in the region, but also because of the pedigree associated with this location and the legendary Marbella Club and Puente Romano hotels that first made it internationally famous.
We don’t just list properties and sit back, we’re not that kind of company, so instead we work hard to assist in your search for the perfect Marbella home. This includes creating a series of interest-specific galleries based on location (golf, frontline beach), styles (modern, newly built), and also market updates featuring the latest listings and discounted real estate.
With so much of the focus on Marbella, its equally enticing neighbours are occasionally overlooked. One of the most appealing is Mijas, a large municipal area that straddles much of the coastal and hillside area between Marbella and Fuengirola. In so doing, Mijas Costa occupies some of the prettiest sections of the Costa del Sol shoreline, dotted with inviting coves, sandy beaches and lively villages such as La Cala de Mijas.
With so much attention on Marbella and its immediate surroundings, one can sometimes forget that there are some excellent alternatives on either side of this glamorous resort town. Estepona is a prime example right now, an upcoming town with an inspirational mayor, José María García Urbano, who has invested in renovating the charming historic town centre, upgrading infrastructure, introducing public art, inaugurating parks and green zones, as well as new sports facilities, attractions and a brand new hospital for the area.
Within Marbella, and much of the Mediterranean region, the Golden Mile represents the ultimate address and lifestyle. An embodiment of glamour and luxury, this 6.5 kilometre-long avenue flanked by palm trees, parks, luxurious resort hotels and private gardens is the place to own a property in Marbella, and as a result the place where you will find the finest Marbella property and luxury amenities.
El Paraíso, is situated just west of San Pedro Alcántara and Guadalmina, and was the first luxury residential resort area to be developed within Estepona’s municipal boundaries. The golf course designed by the legendary Gary Player in 1970 was also among the earliest on the Costa del Sol, and it provided the focal point around which attractive villas and small apartment and townhouse complexes took root.
