Tranquil, residential Guadalmina lies adjacent to the bustle of the traditional Spanish town of San Pedro Alcántara and is ideal if you are looking for verdant surroundings and plenty of local amenities without living in town.

Once a small farming village west of San Pedro Alcántara, the area of Guadalmina was originally made up of fields of corn, peat and sugar cane, until Basque businessman, Norberto Goizueta, began the construction of Guadalmina’s first golf club in the late 1950s. Today families and holiday home owners flock here for its wealth of exclusive complexes and spectacular villas that have since sprung up, some of which are located on the banks of the Guadalmina River or overlooking the pristine fairways of the area’s great golf courses.

Not only does Guadalmina have its own commercial centre and good schools, it is well connected too, just ten kilometres west of dazzling Marbella, two kilometres from Puerto Banús, and a few minutes from the spectacular Serrania de Ronda mountains. As a result, many of the villas and apartments in Guadalmina have spectacular views of the golf courses, the sea and La Concha Mountain standing proudly at height of 1,270 metres.
