Marbella is a lot of fun and summer is a great time to make the most of some of the festivals held along the coast.

Here are a few you won’t want to miss:

Tony Hadley – Club de Tenis, Puente Romano, Marbella, 10 August

Head for a blast from the past as Spandau Ballet’s singer-songwriter Tony Hadley treats us to familiar tones you might remember from the 1980s. In 1990 the group split and he launched his solo career, which was an opportunity to really show off his hugely extensive vocal range.

The Jacksons – Club de Tenis, Puente Romano, Marbella, 8 August

The Jacksons are set to present an amazing and energetic show with their mega hits, made famous through Michael Jackson. Put your glad rags on and get ready for one of the greatest Motown shows in history.

Starlite Festival – Marbella, 5 July to 23 August

The Starlite Festival is an international music festival due to take place in the Nagüeles quarry, just outside Marbella town. Expect a daily programme of music, art, fashion, film and gastronomy within a relatively small auditorium with just 2,200 seats. Antonio Banderas will also appear on one night for an un-missable event: the biggest charity event in Spain.

Rod Stewart, Marenostrum, Fuengirola, 3 July

Fuengirola will host the ever-popular, internationally renowned Rod Stewart. As one of the best-selling singers of all time, he has tallied up 62 hit singles, 31 of which have reached the top ten over the years. A night with Rod at Marenostrum will certainly have you singing ‘Maggie May’ and ‘Sailing’ all the way home.

Gibraltar Calling – Europa Point Leisure Complex, Gibraltar, 7 to 8 September

Gibraltar Calling entitles you to two days of music from top international artists. Confirmed to appear so far are Take That, Liam Gallagher, Tom Walker, Melanie C, Goldierlocks and more, all within the brand-new Europa Point Leisure Complex. Standing on the southern tip of the Rock of Gibraltar, you’ll also get to gaze at magnificent views across the Straits to Morocco.

Los Alamos Beach Festival – Estepona, 31 July – 4 August

For lovers of electronic music, this is an extravaganza not to miss. Now in its fifth year, the festival boasts multiple stages, with line-ups to include some of dance music’s biggest names, in addition to big stars from the worlds of rap and reggaeton.

White Summer Sotogrande – Santa María Polo Club, Sotogrande 25 July

Already a great success on the Costa Brava, White Summer is now coming to Sotogrande to host over 65 artistic and gastronomic events. Covering over one million square metres, the Santa María Polo Club will host this event as a perfect complement to its 48th International Polo Tournament.
